B&M Waste have ensured that 50% of ABC Hotel’s card and paper is recycled, as well as all glass and food waste. Before B&M took on the responsibility waste collection all waste went to landfill, demonstrating the marked improvement.
Any remaining residual waste is now processed into Refuse Derived Fuel and moved to a combined Heat and Power Plant to recover the thermal energy, meaning that ABC Hotel no longer contribute any waste to landfill. In order to continue to effectively manage waste, B&M have installed 10 bins of varying sizes to function for different waste types, and the employees of ABC Hotel have been instructed how to use these accordingly.
ABC Hotel’s Dave Jones was delighted with the transformation, saying: “I would like to thank the team at B&M Waste Services for a very cost effective and efficient waste collection services. I have been working with B&M Waste Services for three years and the service to date has been exemplary”. Our director, Mick Ashall, added: “It is a partnership we are immensely proud of and look to introduce new technologies to further improve on this fantastic level of recycling in the future”.
