In 1984, Ken Curtis bought Bagnall and Morris which at the time was operating as a Civils company (mainly pipelaying) but began to seek further growth opportunities for the company. Highway maintenance contracts were secured, first with Wirral Borough Council and shortly thereafter, Sefton, Halton, Flintshire and Lancashire. Over the next few years, gulley cleansing contracts in Wirral, Norfolk and Suffolk were agreed, leading to the company’s presence in these regions being firmly established.
In 1999, B&M Waste Services was incorporated and went from strength to strength. Neil Curtis eventually became Managing Director and further grew operations and depot facilities throughout the UK alongside brothers Graham, Dave and Paul. Steadily complementary services were added to our total waste management portfolio under their guidance.
By 2021, we had become a well-established, recycling-focused and award-winning company that maintains strong links to our regional communities whilst pursuing our mutual continued success. We also celebrated ten years operating as carbon neutral organisation, an accreditation that was subsequently elevated to carbon neutral plus.
In April 2022, we progressed our journey further when B&M Waste Services and Secure Shredding were acquired by Beauparc, part of the Macquarie Asset Management fund.
