Three key appointments to help growth at waste management specialist B&M

growth at waste management specialist B&MWaste and recycling specialist B&M Waste Services has made three key appointments as it continues to expand its operations across the UK. With the aim of growth at waste management company, these appointments are crucial roles in the expansion of B&M.

Industry experts Mick Ashall and Grahame Henderson have joined as Director and Finance Director respectively, bringing more than 50 years of  combined experience in the waste management sector.

Mick spent 20 years with Biffa in various roles, culminating in him leading Biffa’s Special Waste Division, and has joined from a Nottingham-based dry waste recycling company, where he was Development Director. Mick, whose qualifications include an MSc in Environmental Pollution Control and MBA, will have a wide-ranging remit across the business, with key roles including customer retention, cost control work and major projects.

Mick said: “This is an amazing opportunity to join a progressive, rapidly developing company. We have a team of dedicated, service orientated staff who are committed to ensuring customer satisfaction in all our work.

“B&M was one of the first recycling firms in the country to be awarded Carbon Neutrality and continually innovates new processes and procedures to reduce impact on the environment.”

Grahame Henderson is a qualified accountant with over 25 years of experience in the waste industry within both financial and operational positions. He has held consultancy roles and led on major projects for a number of leading environmental services and waste management firms.

Grahame said: “I am delighted to have been offered this key position in a company with clear vision and ambition and one which is dedicated to customer service.”

Jayne Kennedy is a CIM Chartered Marketer and has over 10 years experience in creating and implementing national marketing strategies.

Jayne said “This is an exciting time to join such a forward thinking company with big plans. Innovation, recycling and dedication to customer service mean things don’t stand still, and this makes for a great place to work.”

B&M Waste Services – which is headquartered in Wirral with sites also in Manchester and Norwich – provides total waste management solutions to businesses and public sector organisations nationwide. The company has enjoyed strong growth over the past year and is looking to capitalise on opportunities across a range of sectors including health, education, hospitality and professional services.
