When we were contacted by Radio City’s Leanne Campbell looking for jobs for her breakfast show co-host Dave Kelly to get stuck into, we were happy to invite him to help us out with a shift on our city centre waste collection rounds.
Our wonderful drivers Gary and Lee showed Dave what to do as he helped us to collect waste and recycling from businesses around Liverpool City Centre. As a carbon-neutral, recycling-led waste management business, B&M Waste Services work with their customers to reduce the amount of waste that they produce in the first place before extracting value from what is leftover, with zero waste being sent to landfill.

During his shift Dave also chatted to the guys, and marketing manager Jayne Kennedy, about the important work that B&M does to support local charities.
As a conscientious Wirral-based family owned and operated business, B&M Waste Services is proud to support local charities near to its collections depots. In the Liverpool City Region, those charities are Claire House, Stick ‘n’ Step and The Hive Youth Zone, all of which have recently been involved in B&M’s charity truck pull.
Speaking of Dave’s day on the bins, Jayne Kennedy said; “We’d like to thank Dave and Radio City for taking an interest in the work that our teams do behind the scenes to take away business waste and keep our city clean. Although he’s used to the early mornings, I’m not sure he could hack a full time job on our collection rounds but he certainly brightened our day and I hope he went home with plenty of ideas of how to reduce the amount of waste he produces!”
