B&M’s latest innovation in waste monitoring technology

B&M Waste Services are delighted to announce the latest addition to their suite of innovations, the B&M Waste Monitor. This flexible piece of equipment uses radio frequency identification (RFID) to recognize individual bins , weigh each separately and return data to a control computer allowing customers to apportion waste costs appropriately.

The key advantages of this new technology, as the demonstration video above shows, is that it allows the customer to apportion waste costs to the individual users of the system. This permits customers to compare and manage the weight volume or waste streams from different departments, users, tenants or manufacturing processes, an ideal solution for multi-tenanted or multi-functional sites.

This evolution in waste monitoring systems can help customers reduce their costs and improve their carbon footprint. It also allows those responsible for measuring and managing waste streams the ability to compare the effectiveness of implemented changes to their processes and procedures.

Kevin Wood, Commercial Manager of B&M Waste Services said

‘The B&M Waste Monitor is the latest example of B&M Waste Services continually developing solutions and technological innovations aimed at improving the service we can offer. This technology has been implemented with great success at Event City in Manchester. As Event City holds multiple events at the same time, they required an efficient, manageable system that allocated individual show hosts with their relevant waste costs, we are thrilled we have been able to assist them with these goals.

We have also invested in a brand new demonstration model on our site in Manchester. Should anyone wish to come along and see this exciting technology in action first hand, I urge them to contact our team for a live demo.”
