Last year B&M Secure Shredding launched a new service which allows local residents to purchase shredding sacks which can be filled with personal confidential paperwork and returned to the Bromborough site to be shredded to BSIA standards. This gives piece of mind to the individual that their confidential information won’t fall into the wrong hands.
The close relationship B&M have with Claire House Children’s Hospice meant the company kindly offered to donate 10% of all sales of this service to the Wirral based charity, who provide an invaluable service to families from across the North West of England who have children up to the age of 23 with life limiting conditions.
Kirsty Simpson, Head of Corporate, Community and Events Fundraising at Claire House said “We are extremely proud to work with a local company such as B & M, who are such fantastic supporters of the children’s hospice.
“We currently care for around 250 families, both on site at the Bebington-based hospice and out in the community, but we know that there are many more children, young adults and families out there that need our support. Without excellent local companies such as B & M, we wouldn’t be able to care for the families that need us and do the important work that we do.”
Paul Curtis, Director at B&M Secure Shredding said “As a family business, Claire House has always been a charity held close to our hearts, and this new service which is open to local residents rather than businesses was a new venture for us. We’re delighted at the amount it has raised for the charity and hope that the next 12 months will see an even greater figure.”
