Carbon Neutral waste management business, B&M Waste Services, has teamed up with client, Edge Hill University to donate old furniture to Office Furniture Recycling Centres CIC of Birkenhead, Wirral; a not-for-profit, social enterprise that supports businesses and individuals alike who wish to move up the waste hierarchy by re-purposing furniture for further use.
Darren Shock, MRF Manager at B&M Waste services, headed up the initiative, commenting; “Edge Hill are a fantastic client and it’s their commitment to recycling and re-using that aligns so well with our own values.”
Andrew from OFRC also commented on the partnership by saying; “OFRC is pleased to announce its strategic partnership with B&M Waste Services. We support B&M in their waste reduction efforts, B&M support OFRC saving redundant office furniture going to Landfill. OFRC helps Start-Ups, SME’s, Charities, Home Office Users, Training Centres and Large Commercial businesses reduce their office furniture costs. We provide “good as new” office furniture that has been fully refurbished and given a new lease of life”.
As a gesture of goodwill, Andrew from OFRC also made a generous donation to Claire House, a charity which works closely with B&M Waste Services. Jess Campbell from Claire House expressed her gratitude for the donation on behalf of the charity by saying; “We would like to say a huge thank you to Andrew at OFRC for choosing to make a donation to Claire House Children’s Hospice, this generous donation will help us reach every seriously ill child and their family who needs our care and support”.
