B&M Waste Services’ fleet tread green path

National waste management and recycling company, B&M Waste Services are this month being praised for their Carbon Management activities in regular replacement of high quality tyres throughout their fleet.

The company has been Carbon Neutral since 2011 and as part of this they have a highly active Carbon Management plan in place to reduce the overall impact the company has on the environment. Fleet management is one of the crucial aspects of this plan and along with using the latest engine trucks Euro 6 and software which allows for most efficient route planning, they also have a stringent tyre replacement schedule involving another recycling operation.

Using Bandvulc tyres assists us not just with a first class full circle tyre management policy, but with a product designed with our operation in mind resulting in longer life and better performances. By using Bandvulc has meant that we have saved almost 200 tonnes or 200,000 kg of Co2. All our used tyres are also controlled through to disposal and by recycling we have saved almost 23 tonnes or 23,000kgs of waste.

Fleet Manager for B&M Waste, Paul Jarmay said “As a company we have always considered the environment to be our number one priority.
