B&M Waste Launch Brand New “Road to Recycling” Video

Given the fluctuations in supply and demand for recyclable material B&M Waste have released their ‘Road to Recycling’ video which outlines the journey of a piece of cardboard, from waste to new product via recycling.

The new video offers a fascinating insight into the process involved in recycling cardboard, from the initial disposal of the cardboard into a mixed card and paper recycling bin to its transformation to a brand new box. It is a great way to inform those who know little to nothing about what happens to cardboard after it is entered the bin about what is involved in the procedure, and it is condensed into a neat 2 minute segment for all to enjoy.

B&M Waste’s new video comes in the wake of Michael Gove releasing a white paper outlining potential future alterations to develop more sustainable solutions for waste management across the country. As a major Waste Management organisation, B&M Waste wanted to educate and explain the importance of recycling in business, and the video portrays how easily and efficiently this can be done if managed correctly.

The video begins with a plant being placed in the ground and the remaining cardboard which contained the plant being deposited into a mixed card and paper waste bin. The bin’s contents are then collected by a cleaner who places it into a larger bin labelled “cardboard recycling”, and this is then transferred into an eco-friendly truck. The cardboard is then baled before being taken to a paper mill where the video demonstrates the procedure involved in manufacturing the recycled cardboard, before finally being presented as a brand new product.
