B&M Waste Services hit £30,000 donation milestone for Claire House

Wirral-based B&M Waste Services is celebrating the fact that it has raised more than £30,000 for children’s hospice Claire House.

To mark the milestone, the family-owned business has emblazoned a B&M wagon in the livery of Claire House.

The wagon will operate across B&M routes in Merseyside and will be used to raise awareness of the Clatterbridge-headquartered children’s charity across the region.

David Curtis, a Director of B&M Waste Services, said that he hoped the new Claire House bin wagon will encourage the general public and the local business community to support the charity.

David said: “B&M Waste Services has been a key supporter of Claire House for many years and we are absolutely thrilled to have reached this £30,000 milestone. The B&M fleet continues to grow and we are delighted to use our vehicles as a platform to support Claire House. We hope that other businesses will see our wagon in action and will also choose to support the charity.”

This latest initiative follows B&M’s most recent donation of £7,700 to Claire House.

David added: “We support the children’s hospice in a number of ways including donating money, participating in sponsored sporting events and volunteering to help at the hospice.  We are very proud of our allegiance to the charity.”

Helen Carlson, Corporate Development Manager at Claire House said: “Claire House can’t wait to see its logo travelling across the Wirral on the B&M truck. We are so proud to be B&M Waste Services’ nominated charity – they are a fabulous organisation which has helped benefit so many of our children over the years.  We always knew they like to go the extra mile for the charity and what a fabulous way to do so.”
