B&M Waste Services, a leading and innovative waste management business, has successfully completed the new Publicly Available Specification 402 (PAS 402:2013) – making it one of the most responsible waste resource management organisations within the country.
PAS 402:2013 specifies requirements for performance reporting by a waste resource management organisation. Since the waste industry is constantly evolving, it has recognised the potential opportunities to be gained from recovering the resource in waste and recognising it as a valuable resource in itself.

B&M Waste Services has been externally assessed against the PAS by Carbon Footprint Ltd, the sustainability experts.
Katie Elmer, Senior Sustainability Consultant at Carbon Footprint Ltd who completed the assessment explained,
‘All B&M’s processes and documents were found to be compliant- meaning they are now part of an elite group of waste management businesses in the UK.’
As part of the PAS 402 process, B&M Waste Services will be assessed annually to assure their continued aligned with the standard and to gauge their continuous improvement.
