Community Integrated Care celebrate 100% diversion from landfill with B&M Waste Services

At a time when care industry budgets are being squeezed, national social care charity, Community Integrated Care is still committed to delivering sustainable services, utilising Carbon Neutral waste management company, B&M Waste Services.

Providing care and support to thousands of people across England and Scotland in over 450 services, Community Integrated has a variety of waste requirements. Their aim of supporting people to lead fuller, better lives within their communities includes a commitment to ensuring that those communities are safe, sustainable places to live. As such, partnering with Carbon Neutral B&M Waste Services was the obvious choice for waste management.

B&M Waste Services were chosen as a supplier who commit to diverting 100% waste from landfill, are Carbon Neutral to PAS 2060 standards, and have a zero waste to landfill ethos. They provide businesses, both large and small, with sustainable waste management services, including tailored on-site waste segregation schemes, clearly signposted to show which waste goes into which container. As much recyclable material as possible is separated for recycling at their Materials Recovery Facility. They then use ‘Refuse Derived Fuel’ technology to process any remaining non-recyclable waste at a combined heat and power station to generate green energy as opposed to sending the waste to landfill sites.
