DVSA earned recognition for vehicle operators is a new way to prove an organisation meets driver & vehicle standards.
The marque will act as a symbol of its’ high standard that DVSA wishes to see across all sectors of the industry. This accreditation means that B&M Waste are classed as a highly compliant company in terms of fleet management and other standards. B&M will therefore be less likely to be stopped for roadside inspections.
To become accredited, B&M Waste were externally audited by a third party. They also invested in software that reports automatically to DVSA if any performance indicators are missed, such as tacho downloads or maintenance inspections. Compliance will be re-assessed every 2 years.
Graham Curtis, Director at B&M Waste Services said “We are immensely proud to receive this accreditation, but special thanks goes to our dedicated fleet management team, supported by our highly trained mechanical fitters and drivers. Their ongoing commitment ensures excellence in the maintenance of our fleet and ongoing driver training and support”.
Philip Breen, DVSA Earned Recognition National Account Manager says: “DVSA’s priority is to protect everyone from unsafe drivers and vehicles. Joining DVSA Earned Recognition will allow B&M Waste Services to show that they’re an exemplary operator, plus they’ll be less likely to be stopped by our enforcement staff. As well as knowing they’re among the best, they can also enjoy knowing they they’re contributing to making the roads even safer.”
B&M Waste have always invested heavily in vehicles. The fleet includes the very latest low emission Euro 6 Engine Vehicles, which also have many additional safety features including multiple live cameras, cycle safe lower entry cabs and cycle/pedestrian under-sun protection.
