World Cleanup Day at Claire House Splash Dash supported by B&M Waste

Further supporting their long-term partnership with Claire House, Carbon Neutral waste management company, B&M Waste Services, are once again the recycling partner for this Saturday’s Splash Dash.

The event, which will take place for the final time this Saturday at Sefton Park in Liverpool is a 5k course where people can run or walk the route while getting covered in different colours of powdered paint at five stations around the course.

Starting at 1pm this Saturday there are XXX people expected to attend, and to ensure all waste produced is recycled, B&M Waste are providing bins free of charge for the event. And as recycling partners to the event, B&M Waste Services will ensure that all waste produced on the day is diverted from landfill. The Carbon Neutral waste management company have a ‘zero to landfill’ promise, instead sending any waste that cannot be recycled to RDF (refuse derived fuel) facilities. Here, energy is harnessed from waste, a much cleaner alternative from landfill.

Commenting on the partnership, David Curtis, Director of B&M Waste Services, said: ‘B&M Waste services are looking forward to once again supporting The Claire House Splash Dash. It’s a fantastic family event which raises much needed funds for the charity. As a family-run business, we always look to support to local community and this partnership is a glowing example of that. And with it being World Cleanup Day, we’re proud to be working to ensure Sefton Park is left as immaculate after, as before the event, and recycling is maximised.”

Speaking on behalf of Claire House, Event Manager Mark Pearson said: “The Claire House Splash Dash is a key event for the charity, raising over £250,000 net profit for the hospice since it began in 2013 and it would simply not be possible to organise without the support of the local community and businesses. Bagnall and Morris have provided bins and collection for the event free of charge, and with no fuss, for years and their support ensures that more money is raised for Claire House and also that we leave the park as we find it, which is really important to us every year, but especially on World Cleanup Day.”
