Our wonderful Splash Dash team completed the 5k challenge whilst being pelted by powder paint in the blistering sunshine this weekend at Sefton Park, Liverpool to raise money for Claire House Children’s Hospice, B&M Waste Services’ nominated charity.
The team included Paul ‘super-sprinter’ Newton, Jess Moore, Sarah Davies, Lucy Coad, Laura Dixon, Josh ‘I’m not even out of breath’ Boult, Claire Lavin, Jayne ‘never ran before’ Kennedy, as well as a few non-B&M volunteers.
Each KM of the run was marked with a paint station manned by children and the families of those who use, or have used the Claire House facilities in the past, with each being marked by the name of a child who had passed away there. This acted as an extreme motivator for the team to keep running when they were flagging, as it reminded them of the very real reason they were completing the course, to raise money for this wonderfully deserving charity.
So far, the splash dash team are half way to achieving their fundraising target, with dribs and drabs of donations still coming in. Thanks very much to all who have donated, and if anyone else would like to support the team, here is the link: https://www.justgiving.com/Bagnall-Morris-Team/
