Supporting Shelter by Wearing Slippers to Work

Here at B&M Waste Services, our team took part in Slippers for Shelter day. Both Bromborough and Manchester offices took part, not only by wearing slippers but taking it one step further to wear a Christmas jumper too!

The array of slippers and Christmas jumpers on show were second to none, and the competition heated up (quite literally!) as the day went one. All entrants into the competition were judged on effort, appearance and overall ‘Christmas’ appeal. A competition was organised and two winners were chosen from each office, one for wearing the best slippers and also a winner for wearing the best Christmas jumper.

The charity, Shelter helps millions of people every year who are struggling with bad housing or homelessness through advice, support and legal services. The aim of Shelters campaign is to make sure that one day, no one will have to turn to them for help.

Our brilliant team effort raised a massive amount of over £300!

Shelter is the housing and homelessness charity which helps individuals and families across the UK who are homeless. B&M Waste Services work with this very worthy charity on a number of initiatives to help improve the safety of those individuals who are unfortunate enough to fin themselves homeless. B&M’s ‘Refuse not Refuge’ campaign spans the country and warns of the dangers of seeking refuge in waste containers, which is common problem across the UK.
