As one of founder patrons of The Hive, Wirral Youth Zone, this month a team from Bromborough based B&M Waste Services visited the new site to have a tour now the building is officially water-tight, and the main structural work is complete.
Wirral Youth Zone, named by young people as ‘The Hive’, will be a purpose-built facility for the borough’s young people aged 8 – 19, and up to 25 for those with disabilities.
The Youth Zone will be located next to the new fire station on Exmouth St, in the centre of Birkenhead, Wirral and is expected to open in 2017.
Dave Curtis, Director at B&M Waste Services said “Ensuring the young people of Wirral have a brighter future, we are putting our full support behind the Youth Zone, not only by donating a revenue contribution, but by spreading the word about the Youth Zone across the borough with dedicated branding about the new facility on our trucks.
“We are a family run business with roots deeply seeded across the Wirral. This much needed facility will be a wonderful opportunity to support the youth of our community, who are the businesses leaders of the future.”
The Hive’s General Manager Stuart Barnes said “We wanted to keep our supporters up to date with progress, hence the site tour. We’re very proud of all that has been achieved so far and we are on target for opening in April 2017. We are truly grateful to all our capital and revenue supporters. Without their backing and support this project could not become a reality for Wirral’s young people.”
