Wirral-based B&M Waste Services have continued to show their support to their nominated Wirral charity, Claire House Children’s Hospice through a series of challenges and volunteering throughout 2017.
A team cycled both the Liverpool to Chester Bike Ride and the gruelling 100 mile Ride London Challenge over the summer raising £2120
A group of willing B&M volunteers helped clear a mountain of rubbish out from the new development at the new Liverpool site being set up for Claire House. Battered and bruised the team meticulously volunteered and cleared an area to ensure it was safe and usable by those visiting Claire House in the future.
And just recently a team of non-runners took part in the Splash Dash for the charity in Sefton Park, raising over £500, with sponsorship money still coming in from that
Graham Curtis, Director at B&M Waste Services said “Raising awareness of the fantastic work the charity does is something we’ve always tried to do. We’re proud to be associated with such an important charity, and have, for a number of year’s now helped raise awareness through promoting the charity on the side of our ‘big yellow trucks, as well as volunteering and taking part in challenges. It’s so important to the children and families across the region to have the support in terms of not just respite but enjoying the time they have together, then of course end of life care too. We are genuinely immensely proud to work with Claire House, it’s such a special charity’”
