B&M Waste Services believe in working in partnership with our customers, suppliers and contractors and from this, building relationships is of vital importance.
We recently visited the site of one of our customers, HMP Altcourse, to tour the facility and rehabilitation centre. Here, the inmates are taught valuable and practical skills to help them to adjust and find employment when they leave prison. They even keep birds of prey on-site for prisoners that need more support to take care of.
On the visit, Jayne Kennedy, of B&M Waste Services, introduced the officers and inmates of Altcourse Prison to Helen Carlson from Claire House Children’s Hospice, one of the nominated charities that B&M support. Charity challenges take place throughout the year at Altcourse – for example, rowing the equivalent of the English Channel in the gym on-site.
As a local community waste service business, we take pride in supporting local charities and businesses alike.
This introduction of our nominated charity to one of our customers, who is looking to support a local charity, continues our corporate social responsibility agenda for 2015 in creating lasting and meaningful partnerships within the community.
