Saturday 20th October saw 216 attend the 30th Anniversary Ball of Leeds charity, Children’s Heart Surgery Fund – or CHSF -, sponsored by fellow Leeds-based organisation, B&M Waste Services. At time of writing, the event raised £44,048 for the well-deserving charity.
CHSF is a non-profit association supporting children and adults born with congenital heart disease across Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.
The event was a glittering black tie affair including a three-course meal, entertainment, a live and silent auction, and a raffle – all with the aim of raising £30,000 in honour of the number of years the charity has been running.
In addition to sponsoring the event, B&M Waste Services have nominated Children’s Heart Surgery Fund as their chosen charity for the Leeds area, making an annual donation to the charity, participating in events throughout the year and promoting it on their famous ‘Big Yellow Trucks’.
Amber Greenhalgh, Commercial Director for the family-run waste company attended the event, commenting; “Children’s Heart Surgery fund is such a wonderful cause and we’re proud to support a local organisation that’s doing so much good for families in the area. It’s been a wonderful evening and I’ve no doubt a great amount of awareness and critical funding has been raised”.
