Our wonderful Ride London team on Saturday 29th July completed a 100 mile challenge, to raise money for Claire House Children’s Hospice, B&M Waste Services’ nominated charity.
Prudential Ride London is the world’s greatest festival of cycling, developed by the Mayor of London and his agencies in partnership with Surrey County Council.
Staged for the first time in August 2013, it is the largest festival of cycling in the world with more than 100,000 participants expected to cycle more than three million miles in seven different events over a weekend. More than £41 million has been raised for charity since 2013.
Graham Curtis, Director at B&M Waste Services, said “Although the challenge was tough, Darren and I thoroughly enjoyed the day. From leaving our hotel in the morning to arriving back that evening, we had ridden an incredible 107 miles, a lot more than we expected. We are amazed at the response and are so thankful for the donations and know that they are going to an incredible cause close to all our hearts.”
Jessica Campbell, Corporate Fundraiser for Claire House Children’s Hospice said; “We simply couldn’t provide the first-class care our families receive without the support of people like this, who go above and beyond to raise money and awareness of Claire House. We’re so grateful to Bagnall & Morris’s Graham and Darren for their ongoing support and would encourage others to follow their lead and pick a challenge to support their local children’s hospice.”
The Ride London team have raised an amazing £2,120 achieving 212% their fundraising target. Thanks very much to all who have donated, B&M’s next fundraising event is the Splash Dash, also raising money for Claire House Children’s Hospice, please click the link to donate https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/b-m-waste-services2
