B&M Waste Services keen team of non-runners took part in this year’s splash dash at Sefton Park on Saturday, to raise much needed funds for Claire House Children’s Hospice.
Our wonderful Splash Dash team completed the 5k challenge whilst being attacked by powder paint thrown by families and supporters of Claire House, B&M Waste Services’ nominated charity.
The team included Gary Seasman and his daughter, Jess Moore, Cat Cubitt, Barbara Girdlestone and Laura Dixon.
Each KM of the run was marked with a paint station manned by children and the families of those who use, or have used the Claire House facilities in the past, with each being marked by the name of a child who had passed away there. This acted as an extreme motivator for the team to keep running when they were flagging, as it reminded them of the very real reason they were completing the course, to raise money for this wonderfully deserving charity.
So far, the splash dash team have raised £620, thanks to everyone who has donated. We are still open for donations. If you feel you’d like to show your support to the team you can donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Bagnall-Morris-Team2
